# Ethen Code GitHub App

Repository work in Ethen Code connects through the Ethen GitHub App. The
app and its installation flow are not publicly available yet; this page
describes what the branch implements and what remains.

## What the branch implements

- App identity. A GitHub App module mints installation credentials and
  hydrates repository state, with user-to-server OAuth for authorize and
  callback.
- Connect panel. The V2 GitHub panel walks through explicit states:
  not connected, auth expired, and connected with the account, branch,
  and repository list.
- Repository picker. Connected accounts choose from private and public
  repositories before work starts.
- Push and PR flows. Branch work offers push and pull-request creation;
  open pull requests show number, state, and check status, with CI repair
  offered when checks fail.
- Approval note. Push can require approval under the current access mode;
  the panel says so before anything moves.

## What remains

- The public installation flow. Installing the app on a repository or
  organization completes with the hosted release, not before.
- Token lifecycle UX. Expiry and reconnect states exist in the panel; the
  hosted refresh behavior ships with the release.

There is no install URL to click yet. Until the hosted release lands,
repository connection is a branch capability, documented here so the plan
is reviewable.
