# Model Library overview

The **Model Library** is the central catalog of models you can route through
Ethen. It lives at [Model Intelligence](/model-intelligence) and lists every model
discovered from configured providers — over 550 profiles at the time of writing.

## What the Library shows

Each model entry in the Library displays:

| Field | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Provider | The upstream provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, Meta, DeepSeek, etc.). |
| Model name | The canonical identifier used in API routes. |
| Context window | Maximum tokens the model accepts per request. |
| Modalities | Text, image, code, or audio support. |
| Pricing signal | Estimated cost tier visible in the UI (exact prices vary by provider). |

## Provider pages

Click a provider name to see all models from that provider. Each provider page
lists its model catalog with the same comparison table so you can compare
within a provider family.

## Model profiles

Click an individual model to open its profile. The profile shows the technical
specs visible in the Library table plus any provider-specific metadata that was
discovered during catalog ingestion.

## Freshness

The Library is refreshed when the Gateway model catalog is reloaded. If a
provider adds or removes a model, the change appears after the next catalog
sync. Model entries that carry pricing or availability signals may lag behind
the provider's published data — always verify critical limits against the
upstream provider directly.

## Opening the Library

You can reach the Model Library by navigating to
[Model Intelligence](/model-intelligence) directly.
