Deprecations and retired claims
Surfaces, labels, and claims that are retired or must not appear in public documentation.
Product naming
| Deprecated framing | Current truth |
|---|---|
| Peer “AI employees” / vertical agents as flagship products | Fleet templates only; no separate runtimes |
| Cortex / Cortex Ultra as a product | Ethen Auto capability (internal routing) |
| Browser Agent as flagship | Computer Use shared capability |
| Local Models as separate company surface | Local runtimes under Models / settings |
| Unconditional “Live” badges on all products | Lifecycle from portfolio registry only |
Frozen / unavailable
Studio generation and other frozen surfaces remain exportable where implemented but must not be documented as Live launch products. See portfolio lifecycle: unavailable entries.
Documentation claims that are retired
- “Private Alpha” as the sole Gateway maturity label when public beta certification evidence exists for Gateway — use public beta with known limits.
- Any claim that payment collection is live-certified, production-ready, or generally available in this release.
- Any claim that Gate K is complete; Gate K remains BLOCKED until an independent reviewer attests.
Compatibility redirects
Legacy routes may redirect via portfolio consolidation. Prefer canonical routes from the registry (canonicalRoute fields) in new documentation.
