Ethen Code GitHub App
Planned repository connection for Ethen Code via the Ethen GitHub App — connect, repo picker, push and PR flows, and CI states.
Repository work in Ethen Code connects through the Ethen GitHub App. The app and its installation flow are not publicly available yet; this page describes what the branch implements and what remains.
What the branch implements
- App identity. A GitHub App module mints installation credentials and
hydrates repository state, with user-to-server OAuth for authorize and callback.
- Connect panel. The V2 GitHub panel walks through explicit states:
not connected, auth expired, and connected with the account, branch, and repository list.
- Repository picker. Connected accounts choose from private and public
repositories before work starts.
- Push and PR flows. Branch work offers push and pull-request creation;
open pull requests show number, state, and check status, with CI repair offered when checks fail.
- Approval note. Push can require approval under the current access mode;
the panel says so before anything moves.
What remains
- The public installation flow. Installing the app on a repository or
organization completes with the hosted release, not before.
- Token lifecycle UX. Expiry and reconnect states exist in the panel; the
hosted refresh behavior ships with the release.
There is no install URL to click yet. Until the hosted release lands, repository connection is a branch capability, documented here so the plan is reviewable.
